CBGB's Red Logo T-Shirt. Official merchandise from Loudshop.
CBGB's was the legendary music club in New York's East Village, Manhattan, opened by Hilly Kristal in 1973. The venue was originally a biker bar and Hilly was aiming at a venue for Country, Bluegrass and Blues (CBGB). It is best remembered however for being the birthplace of American Punk Rock and New Wave, with strong connections to The Ramones, Debbie Harry and Blondie, Patti Smith, Talking Heads and Television. In later years it was a well known 'dive' venue but well respected gig for post punk, metal, and alternative rock bands.
